This recipe only has one more ingredient than my most popular recipe, “Cake Mix Brownies,” but the results are much more dense, chewy, and chocolatey.
1/2 C + 2 T butter, softened
1 C sugar
6 T cocoa powder
1/2 C flour
Optional: 1/2 C chopped walnuts, pecans, or chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 325 F. Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Blend in cocoa and flour. If desired, mix in nuts or chocolate chips. Bake in greased 8×8 inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut in squares.
