Cake-in-a-mug

Serves 1-2.

2 T butter
2 T flour
2 T sugar
1 T dark cocoa
1 T semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 t baking powder
1 egg yolk
1 T water
1 t vanilla (vary the flavor with orange or mint extract)

Toppings: Whipped cream, caramel sauce, or jam that has been heated slightly to melt it

In a very large (12 oz) mug, melt the butter in a microwave. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. Microwave for 60 to 90 seconds, until the batter starts to pull away from the sides and the top begins to look dry. Cool slightly before topping and serving.
