1 C salad dressing
1 C water
1 1/2 C sugar
2 t baking soda
3 T cocoa
1 t vanila
2 C flour
Cream together dressing and sugar, add vanilla. Combine dry ingred and add to mixture, alternating with the water. Bake 35-40 min at 350 F.

Made this cake for many years, always a winner. My ariginal recipcalled for a tblespn. of any jam. Keeps the flavor sharp. I have also used strong coffee for a mocha cake.
