1 C butter
2/3 C firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 t vanilla
1/4 t salt
1 3/4 C flour
1 1/2 C shredded coconut
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg, vanilla, and salt. Add flour in 4 parts, mising well after each. Stir in coconut. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten with floured bottom of glass. Bake at 375 degrees 10 min, or until lightly browned around edges. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
