Hank Junior’s Sangria (non-alcoholic)

This recipe was created in honor of two of my brothers, Hank and Steve. It’s a non-alcoholic sangria that captures the flavors of Cynthia’s Sangria and my Dad’s signature Schulte Sangria. Mix up a pitcher of this so your non-drinking friends and designated drivers can join in the toasts.

4 C unsweetened grape juice (I mixed this up from a half can of frozen grape juice concentrate)
2-1/2 C orange juice
1-1/2 C canned fruit, not drained — my favorite is mandarin oranges, but you can use pineapple chunks, fruit cocktail, or diced peaches
Ginger ale or lemon-lime soda

In a 2-quart pitcher, combine the grape and orange juice with the fruit. For each serving, put some crushed ice in a tall glass or a large stemmed goblet. Fill halfway with the fruit juice mixture and then top with ginger ale or lemon-lime soda. Put a spoonful of fruit into each glass.
