2 C rolled oats
1/2 C rolled wheat
1/2 C rolled rye
1/4 C currants or chopped raisins
1/4 C sugar
1/4 C wheat germ
1/4 C bran
1/2 C finely chopped almonds, lightly toasted
1/2 C finely chopped hazelnuts, lightly toasted
1/4 C finely chopped dried apples or apricots

Stir together all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Transfer to covered container and store in a cool place. Makes 10 1/2 C servings. For one serving, pour equal amounts of cereal and milk, soymilk, or juice into a bowl. Allow to soak until grains are soft enough to chew. Add more liquid if necessary and garnish with fresh fruit.
