Orange Ratafia

4 C Armagnac or cognac
Juice of 6 oranges, about 1 1/2 cups
Zest of 4 oranges, cut into strips (no white pulp)
1 C granulated sugar
1 cinnamon stick
Place all ingredients in a jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid. Steep 3-4 weeks, shaking several times a week. After steeping, discard cinnamon stick and orange zest. Filter into a clean, dry bottle (use a coffee filter). Cap tightly before storing.
