Margaret’s mother’s recipes were often like this first one — just a list of ingredients and no instructions!

1 stick oleo
1 C white sugar
1 C karo syrup
1 C pecans
3 eggs

Probably better recipe:
1/4 lb oleo
1/2 c sugar
1 c karo
1 c pecans
2 eggs
Cream butter and sugar, add 1/4 t salt, beaten eggs, syrup, nuts. Bake in unbaked pastry shell 1 hour at 300 F.
