Savory Variations on Quick Bread

4 C self-rising flour
1 t salt
2 C buttermilk
Mix together and spread in a well-greased loaf pan. Bake for an hour at 350 F.
The variations include:
Herb bread – add a teaspoon each of parsley, sage, basil, etc.
Poppy seed bread – Add 2 T poppy seeds to the batter and sprinkle more poppy seeds on top before baking
Cheese Bread – Add 1 C shredded cheese
Dill Bread – Add 2 t dill weed and 1 t grated onion (or some onion powder)
And one non-savory variation:
Raisin Bread – Add 1 C raisins, 1 t cinnamon, and 1/4 t cloves
